When it comes to style, sometimes less really is more. As much as bright colours and vivid prints have their place in every man’s warm-weather wardrobe, the power of taking a minimal approach should not be underestimated.

Much of the popularity of the white-on-white look is down to its clean, fresh and contemporary feel. Sometimes – while everyone else is busy making statements with eye-catching hues and clashing patterns – all it takes is a neutral ensemble to set a man apart from his peers.

The perfect way to stay looking sharp while keeping your cool in the heat: a smart-casual approach to white-on-white works extremely well for day events, as well as evenings out while on holiday.

This editorial features an all white outfit that’s styled in what I’d like to call Smart Casual with a unique approach, and what makes it unique really would be the beret and the sandals.

First, the footwear – I used a white fringe leather pair of sandals crafted to perfection by Nigerian footwear brand @313eko. Seeing as this look is an all white outfit, I didn’t have second thoughts making this pick, because sandals, as opposed to shoes, are not readily styled with suits, but when done properly, they can be made to look amazing! And that’s not to mention you’d definitely stand out from the crowd.

Also, the beret was intentional πŸ˜‰ .. Oh yes it was! It’s no news that there’s a Parisian wave in the fashion industry this hot minute, it’s a trend I think I really like, one I’m open to exploring and this look is a preamble of some sort, I styled this look, which was already smart casual, with a beret and a t shirt to go with the suit and sandals, and they’re all working for each other in a sublime bit significant manner 😊
